Pre-Service Questionnaire: Essential for Your Hot Tub Recommissioning
To ensure the best possible service for your hot tub, all servicing packages, recommissioning and appointments are subject to the completion of a pre-service questionnaire. This short questionnaire allows us to confirm your hot tub’s make and model, verify accessibility for our wellness teams, ensure it’s hygienic, and in good working order with no faults. Completing this is crucial before we can arrange your appointment, so we’ll send you link in your order confirmation email after checkout. You can also view the service questionnaire in our support area.Basic Hot Tub & Spa Recommissioning
1. Fill the Hot Tub with Fresh Water:
- The hot tub is filled to the manufacturer’s recommended level, typically indicated by a fill line or mark.
- We take care to avoid overfilling, which can cause problems with water overflowing during use.
2. Rinse Thoroughly and Re-fit the Customer’s Filter(s):
- Before re-installing the filters, they are given a final rinse with clean water. This ensures that any residual cleaning solution is completely removed.
- The filters are then carefully fitted back into their housings, ensuring they are properly seated and secure.
3. Once Filled, Turn On:
- We power on the hot tub at the isolation switch and at the mains.
- We then activate the control panel and check that all systems are functioning correctly.
4. Chemicalise Hot Tub – Using Customer’s Chemicals:
- Based on the initial water analysis, we add the customer’s provided chemicals to balance the water.
- This typically includes adjusting:
- pH levels
- Total alkalinity
- Calcium hardness
- Sanitizer levels (chlorine or bromine)
- We follow the dosage instructions on the chemical labels and the customer’s preferences.
5. Ensure No Error Messages or Airlocks are Present:
- We monitor the control panel for any error messages that may indicate a problem with the hot tub’s systems.
- We also check for any signs of airlocks in the plumbing lines, which can prevent proper water circulation and heating.
- If any issues are detected, we take appropriate steps to resolve them.
6. Check All Operational Capabilities to Ensure Running Correctly:
- We conduct a thorough operational check, verifying that:
- All pumps are functioning correctly at all speeds.
- The heater is heating the water to the desired temperature.
- All jets are providing adequate pressure and flow.
- Lights and other features are working as intended.
7. Offer Any Advice on Chemicals or Maintenance to Customers as/when Required:
- Based on our observations during the service, we offer the customer tailored advice on:
- Proper water chemistry maintenance
- Filter cleaning and replacement schedules
- Hot tub cleaning and care tips
- Any other relevant maintenance recommendations
- We aim to empower the customer with the knowledge to keep their hot tub in optimal condition between professional services.
