Pre-Service Questionnaire: Essential for Your Hot Tub Recommissioning
To ensure the best possible service for your hot tub, all servicing packages, recommissioning and appointments are subject to the completion of a pre-service questionnaire. This short questionnaire allows us to confirm your hot tub’s make and model, verify accessibility for our wellness teams, ensure it’s hygienic, and in good working order with no faults. Completing this is crucial before we can arrange your appointment, so we’ll send you link in your order confirmation email after checkout. You can also view the service questionnaire in our support area.Deluxe Hot Tub & Spa Recommissioning
1. Clean and Polish Acrylic:
- Before refilling, we meticulously clean the hot tub’s acrylic shell using a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for this purpose. This removes any residual dirt, grime, water stains, or mineral deposits.
- We pay close attention to areas prone to buildup, such as the waterline, seats, and footwell.
- After cleaning, we apply a specialized acrylic polish to restore the shell’s shine and protect it from future staining.
2. Fill the Hot Tub with Fresh Water:
- The hot tub is filled to the manufacturer’s recommended level, carefully avoiding overfilling.
3. Clean All Accessible Cabinets:
- We clean the exterior cabinets or panels of the hot tub using a suitable cleaner and polish. This removes dirt, grime, and any spills or residues.
- We pay attention to detail, cleaning all corners, edges, and crevices.
4. Clean Hot Tub Cover:
- The hot tub cover is cleaned using a mild detergent and water solution, removing dirt, debris, and mildew.
- We inspect the cover for any signs of damage or wear, such as cracks, tears, or broken straps.
5. Filter Clean – Using Specialist Filter Cleaning Agent:
- The filters are removed and thoroughly cleaned using a specialist filter cleaning agent. This removes built-up oils, lotions, hair, and other debris that can hinder filter performance.
- After soaking in the cleaning solution, the filters are rinsed with clean water to remove any residue.
6. Once Filled – Turn On:
- We power on the hot tub and activate the control panel, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
7. Chemicalise Hot Tub – Using Customer’s Chemicals:
- Based on the initial water analysis (if conducted), we add the customer’s provided chemicals to balance the water.
- This includes adjusting pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, and sanitizer levels according to the customer’s preferences and the chemical manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Ensure No Error Messages or Air Locks are Present:
- We monitor the control panel for any error messages that may indicate a problem with the hot tub’s systems.
- We check for airlocks in the plumbing lines, which can impede water circulation and heating.
- If any issues are detected, we take appropriate steps to resolve them.
9. Check All Operational Capabilities to Ensure Running Correctly:
- We systematically check all hot tub functions, including:
- Pump operation at all speeds
- Heater functionality and temperature accuracy
- Jet pressure and flow
- Light operation
- Any additional features (e.g., audio, Bluetooth)
10. Offer Any Advice on Chemicals or Maintenance to Customers as/when Required:
- We provide the customer with personalized advice on:
- Maintaining proper water chemistry
- Filter cleaning and replacement schedules
- General hot tub care and cleaning tips
- Any other relevant maintenance recommendations
