Pre-Service Questionnaire: Essential for Your Hot Tub Service

To ensure the best possible service for your hot tub, all servicing packages and appointments are subject to the completion of a pre-service questionnaire. This short questionnaire allows us to confirm your hot tub’s make and model, verify accessibility for our wellness teams, ensure it’s hygienic, and in good working order with no faults. Completing this is crucial before we can arrange your appointment, so we’ll send you link in your order confirmation email after checkout. Hot tub and spa winterisation package:

1. Hot Tub Water Testing:

• We don’t just test the water – we analyse it! Using a professional kit or digital analyser, we check:
  • pH Levels: Ensuring the ideal balance for comfort and equipment longevity.
  • Total Alkalinity: This acts as a pH buffer, preventing drastic changes.
  • Calcium Hardness: Correct levels prevent scaling and corrosion.
  • Sanitizer Levels: Whether it’s chlorine or bromine, we ensure there’s enough to keep your hot tub hygienic.

2. Turn Off and Drain Fully:

• Power down the hot tub completely at the isolation switch.
• We use a submersible pump to ensure a fast and thorough drain-down, removing as much water as possible.
• Special attention is paid to low points and plumbing lines to minimise stagnant water.

3. Filter Removal and Deep Clean:

• Filters are carefully removed and placed in a dedicated cleaning solution. This is specifically designed to break down:
  • Body oils and lotions
  • Hair and other debris
  • Mineral deposits
• We allow adequate soaking time for the solution to work its magic.

4. Vacuuming all Components:

• Using a wet/dry vacuum with appropriate attachments, we meticulously clean:
  • Jets: Each jet is individually vacuumed to remove any trapped debris.
  • Filter Section: The filter housing and surrounding area are vacuumed.
  • Base of Seats and Footwell: All surfaces are cleaned, paying attention to corners and crevices.
  • Heater and Pump Unions: These are carefully disconnected, vacuumed out, and reconnected to ensure optimal flow and hygiene.

5. Polishing the Acrylic:

• We use a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for hot tub acrylic surfaces.
• This removes:
  • Water stains
  • Scum lines
  • Mineral deposits
• The result is a sparkling clean and rejuvenated hot tub shell.

6. Filter Rinsing and Reinstallation:

• The filters are thoroughly rinsed with clean water to remove all traces of the cleaning solution.
• We inspect them for any signs of wear and tear, advising on replacement if needed.
• Finally, the clean filters are carefully reinstalled into the hot tub, ensuring a snug and secure fit.
