Pre-Service Questionnaire: Essential for Your Hot Tub Service

To ensure the best possible service for your hot tub, all servicing packages and appointments are subject to the completion of a pre-service questionnaire. This short questionnaire allows us to confirm your hot tub’s make and model, verify accessibility for our wellness teams, ensure it’s hygienic, and in good working order with no faults. Completing this is crucial before we can arrange your appointment, so we’ll send you link in your order confirmation email after checkout. Premium hot tub & spa service package:

• Comprehensive Water Analysis:
  • We collect a water sample from the hot tub, ensuring it represents the overall water condition.
  • Using professional-grade, water testing strips, we meticulously measure:
    • pH levels: Assessing acidity/alkalinity balance.
    • Total Alkalinity: Stabilizing pH and buffering against fluctuations.
    • Calcium Hardness: Preventing scaling or corrosion.
    • Sanitizer Levels (Chlorine/Bromine): Ensuring effective disinfection.
    • Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): Indicating overall water purity.
    • Cyanuric Acid (Stabiliser): If applicable, to protect chlorine from UV degradation.
  • We record all results and use them to create a precise chemical adjustment plan.
• Control Pad Functionality Check:
  • We visually inspect the control pad for damage, cracks, or wear.
  • We systematically test each button and function, including:
    • Pump activation (circulation, jet, blower) at all speed settings.
    • Light system operation (underwater, perimeter, backlighting, fiber optics).
    • Heater activation and temperature accuracy.
    • Auxiliary functions (audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
    • Error message display and troubleshooting.
• Pump-Assisted Drain Down:
  • We connect a high-capacity submersible pump to the drain valve.
  • We ensure all diverters and valves are open to maximize drainage.
  • We remove any residual water from the footwell and jet lines using a sponge or wet vacuum.
• Wet Vac Clean:
  • We use a powerful wet/dry vacuum to thoroughly clean the interior:
    • Removing sediment, biofilm, and debris from the acrylic shell, seats, and footwell.
    • Cleaning all crevices and hard-to-reach areas.
    • Paying special attention to areas around jets and suction fittings.
• Filter Clean – Using Specialist Filter Cleaning Agent:
  • We remove the filters and inspect them for damage or wear.
  • We spray the filters in a specialised filter cleaning solution, dissolving oils, lotions, and contaminants.
  • We thoroughly rinse the filters with clean water, ensuring all cleaning solution is removed.
• Specialist Hot Tub Flush Compound Circulated in Water:
  • Before draining the hot tub, we add a specialist hot tub flush compound to the water.
  • We then run the hot tub pumps to circulate the treated water, allowing the flush compound to clean out the plumbing lines.
  • This removes any built up bio film, and other contaminates from the pipes.
• Hot Tub Acrylic Surface Cleaned and Polished:
  • We use a non-abrasive acrylic cleaner and soft cloths to remove stains and mineral deposits.
  • We then polish the acrylic surface with a specialized polish, restoring its shine and luster.
  • Jets are removed, cleaned, and inspected for damage or blockages.
• Re-fill with Fresh Water:
  • We refill the hot tub with fresh, clean water.
  • We ensure the water level is at the manufacturer’s recommended level.
• Refitting of Filters and Inspection of Filter Housing Unit:
  • We carefully reinstall the cleaned filters, ensuring they are properly seated and secured.
  • The filter housing unit is inspected for cracks, damage, or leaks.
• Chemical / Water Balancing – Using Customer’s Chemicals:
  • Based on the water analysis, we add the customer’s provided chemicals.
  • We follow the customer’s instructions and the chemical manufacturers guidance.
  • We allow time for circulation and retest the water to confirm balance.
• Ensure System is Operating as Normal:
  • We power on the hot tub and verify:
    • Pump operation and jet pressure.
    • Heater functionality and temperature accuracy.
    • Light system operation.
    • Error message absence.
    • Water/Air divertors & drainage valve functionality checks.
• Hot Tub Cabinets / Panels Polished:
  • We clean and polish the exterior cabinets/panels, removing dirt and restoring their appearance.
• Hot Tub Cover Cleaned and Coating of Specialist UV Protection Applied:
  • We clean the cover with a mild cleaner, removing dirt and mildew.
  • We apply a UV protectant to prevent sun damage.
• Control Board, Heater and All Pumps Inspected:
  • We visually inspect the control board for signs of damage.
  • We check the heater element and connections for corrosion.
  • We inspect all pumps for leaks, unusual noises, and proper operation.
• LEDs and Audio Components Inspected and Tested:
  • We test all LED lighting systems for functionality.
  • If applicable, we test audio components (speakers, Bluetooth, etc.).
• UV / Ozone System, Valves & Pipework Inspected:
  • We inspect the UV or ozone system for proper operation.
  • We check all valves and pipework for leaks or damage.
• Pipework and Joint Inspection. Tighten Unions if Required:
  • We visually inspect all accessible pipework and joints for leaks or damage.
  • We tighten any loose unions or fittings.
• Rinsing Filters and Reinstallation into Hot Tub:
  • We rinse the filters again, and ensure that they are free of any cleaning solution, and then reinstall them.
• Cover Lifter Inspection:
  • We inspect the cover lifter for proper operation and any signs of damage.
• Cover Security Inspection – Clip Condition and Functionality:
  • We check the cover clips and locks for damage or malfunction.
• Spa Steps Inspection – Safety & Condition:
  • We inspect the spa steps for stability, damage, and safety.
