Pre-Service Questionnaire: Essential for Your Hot Tub Service

To ensure the best possible service for your hot tub, all servicing packages and appointments are subject to the completion of a pre-service questionnaire. This short questionnaire allows us to confirm your hot tub’s make and model, verify accessibility for our wellness teams, ensure it’s hygienic, and in good working order with no faults. Completing this is crucial before we can arrange your appointment, so we’ll send you link in your order confirmation email after checkout. Standard hot tub & spa service package:

• Comprehensive Water Analysis:
  • We begin by collecting a water sample and conducting a multi-parameter analysis using a professional-grade testing kit.
  • This includes precise measurements of:
    • pH levels: To ensure proper acidity/alkalinity balance.
    • Total Alkalinity: To stabilise pH and prevent fluctuations.
    • Calcium Hardness: To prevent scaling or corrosion.
    • Sanitizer Levels (Chlorine/Bromine): To maintain disinfection and prevent bacterial growth.
    • We record the results and use them to determine the necessary chemical adjustments.
• Control Pad Functionality Check:
  • We systematically test each button and function on the control panel.
  • This includes:
    • Verifying that all pumps (circulation, jet, and blower) engage and operate at their designated speeds.
    • Checking that all lighting systems (underwater, perimeter, and backlighting) function correctly.
    • Confirming that the heating system activates and reaches the set temperature accurately.
    • We also visually inspect the control panel for any signs of damage or wear.
• Pump-Assisted Drain Down:
  • We connect a submersible pump to the drain valve to expedite the draining process.
  • This ensures a more thorough removal of water, including any sediment or debris that may have settled at the bottom.
  • We make sure all of the water is removed from the footwell and jet lines.
• Wet Vac Clean:
  • Using a powerful wet/dry vacuum, we meticulously clean the entire interior of the hot tub.
  • This includes:
    • Removing any remaining water, debris, or biofilm from the acrylic shell.
    • Cleaning the seats, footwell, and any crevices or hard-to-reach areas.
    • We pay special attention to areas where dirt and grime tend to accumulate.
• Filter Clean – Using Specialist Filter Cleaning Agent:
  • We remove the filters and spray them in a dedicated filter cleaning solution.
  • This solution is designed to break down oils, lotions, and other contaminants that can clog the filter media.
  • After spraying, we rinse the filters thoroughly with clean water, ensuring all cleaning solution and debris are removed.
  • We inspect the filters for damage or wear, and advise on replacement if necessary.
• Hot Tub Acrylic Surface Cleaned:
  • We use a specialised non-abrasive acrylic cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the hot tub’s shell.
  • This removes watermarks, mineral deposits, and other surface stains, restoring the acrylic’s shine.
  • We pay close attention to high use areas.
• Re-fill with Fresh Water:
  • We refill the hot tub with fresh, clean water.
  • We ensure the water level is at the manufacturer’s recommended level.
• Refitting of Filters:
  • We carefully reinstall the cleaned filters, ensuring they are properly seated and secured in their housing.
• Chemical / Water Balancing – Using Customer’s Chemicals:
  • Based on the water analysis, we add the customer’s provided chemicals to achieve the desired water balance.
  • We follow the customer’s instructions and the chemical manufacturers guidance.
  • We allow time for the chemicals to circulate and then retest the water to confirm the balance.
• Ensure System is Operating as Normal:
  • We power on the hot tub and verify that all systems are functioning correctly.
  • This includes:
    • Checking that the pumps are circulating water and producing adequate jet pressure.
    • Confirming that the heating system is maintaining the set temperature.
    • Verifying that all lights and other features are working.
    • We also check for any leaks or error messages.
• Hot Tub Cabinets / Panels Polished:
  • We use a suitable polish to clean and shine the exterior cabinets/panels, removing dirt and restoring their appearance.
• Hot Tub Cover Cleaned and Coating of Specialist UV Protection Applied:
  • We clean the hot tub cover with a mild cleaner, removing dirt, debris, and mildew.
  • We then apply a UV protectant to the cover to prevent sun damage and extend its lifespan.
