Installation
Preparing for Your New Swim Spa Installation
To ensure a seamless and efficient installation of your new swim spa, there are a few essential steps that must be completed before the delivery date. We cover all these requirements in detail during your free home survey, but here is a brief overview of the necessary preparations for your installation day.
1. Electrical Installation
A swim spa requires a dedicated electrical supply to power the jets, heaters, pumps, and control systems.
Customer Responsibility: It is essential that the necessary electrical connections are prepared and completed by a qualified electrician prior to our arrival. Once this is ready, our installation team will then install and connect your spa to your water supply, before thoroughly commissioning it to ensure all systems are functioning correctly and safely.
Alternative Option: Alternatively, for a fully managed service, please talk to us about our comprehensive electrical installation service.
2. Base Preparation
A swim spa is a substantial and heavy item when filled, so a solid, level foundation is crucial for structural integrity and safe operation. Depending on the type of swim spa you purchase and your desired aesthetic, there are three main base preparation options. These groundworks must be completed by the customer before the swim spa can be delivered and commissioned.
- Ground Level Installation – You will need to prepare a solid, level base (e.g., reinforced concrete slab or heavy-duty paving slabs on a compacted sub-base) that is the correct size for the swim spa, ready for it to be delivered.
- Semi-Sunk Installation – The customer will need to complete the necessary ground work and digging for the surrounding area. Crucially, there must be a solid, level base at the bottom of the excavated area, ready for delivery and installation.
- Fully Sunk Installation – As with the semi-sunk option, the customer will need to complete all ground work and digging. It is vital to ensure that a solid, level base is present at the bottom of the hole, suitable for the swim spa to sit on securely upon delivery.
In all cases, we will discuss these options, provide exact measurements and technical specifications, and answer any questions you may have during our free home survey to ensure your site is perfectly prepared for installation day.

Delivery of your Hot Tub, Spa or Swimming Spa
From our warehouse to your home, Johnsons Wellness takes the hassle out of hot tub and spa ownership with our seamless delivery and professional installation services. We handle every detail, ensuring your new spa arrives safely and is set up perfectly, so you can start enjoying your personal oasis without delay.
With all purchases and once your hot tub arrives at one of our national warehouses, we’ll contact you personally to coordinate a convenient delivery time and bring it directly to your home using our own specialised logistics. We handle the transportation, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
In some cases and with our River Range of swim spas, crane assistance may be necessary for safe and efficient placement. Our team will assess your site during the free home survey and advise if a crane is required. We can arrange this service for you for an additional fee.
When can I expect my order to arrive?
Depending on type and availability of the model, you can expect the following:
- New Models (In Stock, UK) – We can usually have these models ready to dispatch from our UK warehouses in 3 to 6 weeks; this timeframe includes quality assurance, preparation and a home visit to inspect and survey your garden or space before delivery and installation.
- New Models (In Stock, EU) – We can usually have these models ready to dispatch from our EU manufacturing facility in 6 to 9 weeks; this timeframe includes quality assurance, preparation and a home visit to inspect and survey your garden or space before delivery and installation.
- New Models (Made to Order, Backorder) – We allow approximately 12 weeks (depending on the season); this timeframe usually includes manufacturing, quality assurance, shipping and a home visit to inspect and survey your garden or space before delivery and installation.
- Ex-display/Clearance Models (In Stock, UK) – We allow 2 to 4 weeks to dispatch showroom models; this timeframe includes thorough quality assurance, testing and inspection, preparation and a home visit to inspect and survey your garden or space before delivery and installation.
In all cases, this type of model will be display with the product and stock information.

- 50% Deposit – To order your hot tub or spa, the remaining 50% due before delivery.
- Full Payment – To order and secure your hot tub or spa.
- Finance – 0% APR* (12 or 24 month agreement) with a minimum 50% deposit; available on all hot tubs, swimming spas, home saunas and combination deals; subject to status and affordability.
- Finance – 9.9% APR* (12 or 36, 24 month agreement) with a minimum £500 deposit; available on all hot tubs, saunas and swim spas. subject to status and affordability.
Ways to Pay – Online and Instore
- Stripe: We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe, a secure online payment gateway. Your card details are encrypted and processed securely by Stripe, and we do not store any of your sensitive payment information on our servers.
- Novuna Finance: For customers looking to fund their purchase through finance, we also have a finance gateway available on checkout for specific wellness products and services; simply select this option and you will be directed to our finance provider to complete a credit check and get an instant decision.
