Before we can schedule your service, we ask all customers to complete a quick pre-service questionnaire. This helps us confirm your hot tub’s make and model, check access for our wellness team, and ensure the spa is hygienic and safe to service. You’ll receive the questionnaire link in your order confirmation email, and it’s also available in our Support area.
What’s Included in Our Hot Tub & Spa Winterisation Package
1. Professional Hot Tub Water Testing
We check:
pH Levels – Keeping your water balanced protects skin comfort and prolongs equipment lifespan.
Total Alkalinity – This stabilises your pH, preventing sudden and harmful fluctuations.
Calcium Hardness – Proper levels help avoid scale build-up or corrosion.
Sanitiser Levels – Whether you use chlorine or bromine, we ensure the water is hygienic before draining.
This initial test helps us understand your spa’s water condition before we proceed with the full winterisation.
2. Full Power Down and Hot Tub Drain
We begin by switching off your hot tub at the isolation point to ensure complete safety.
Using a submersible pump, we drain the water quickly and efficiently, paying close attention to plumbing lines, footwells, and other low-lying areas to remove as much water as possible. This reduces the risk of stagnant water or freezing during cold spells.
3. Filter Removal and Deep Soak
Your filters are essential to your tub’s health, so they receive dedicated care:
Removed carefully.
Soaked in a specialist cleaning solution designed to break down oils, lotions, debris, and mineral build-up.
Given enough time to ensure a deep, effective clean.
This helps restore filtration performance for the new season.
4. Thorough Vacuuming of All Components
Using a professional wet/dry vacuum, we clean every accessible part of your spa:
Jets – Each jet is vacuumed individually to remove trapped debris.
Filter Housing – Ensures the filtration system remains efficient.
Seats, Footwell & Corners – All surfaces are cleared of remaining dirt.
Heater & Pump Unions – Carefully disconnected, vacuumed, and reconnected to optimise water flow and system hygiene.
5. Acrylic Surface Polish
We apply a non-abrasive acrylic cleaner to your hot tub’s shell, removing:
Water stains.
Scum lines.
Mineral deposits.
6. Filter Rinse and Reinstallation
Once the filters finish soaking:
They are rinsed thoroughly with clean water.
Inspected for wear or damage.
Reinstalled securely to ensure perfect alignment and performance.
